The relation between the secret of Rennes-le-Château and the House of Austria
It is attested, both by public rumour police reports, that the Abbé Saunière received several times, in his domaine of Rennes-le-Château, an important member of the House of Austria. (This would be Jean Orth, who had abdicated his rights of heir and later retired to Patagonia in the extreme South of Argentina).
Q: Did the Abbé Saunière envisage one day sharing his secret with theHouse of Austria (before the War), and in what way could Austria have been linked to the secrets of Rennes-le-Château?
R: At the time of the fall of the Order of the Temple (arrest of the Templars of France in 1307 and dissolution of the Order in 1312), the Templars of Spain and Portugal were not worried, because they were fighting against the Muslims (Moors) on the peninsula, which was reconquered only in 1492.
In Portugal, the Order simply changed name, becoming the Order of the Knights of Christ; to the red cross of the Templars was added a small white cross, symbol of its purification.
Henry the Navigator, King of Portugal and initiated into the templar secrets, married his daughter to the Duke of Burgundy, Philippe the Good, who created the initiatory Order of the Golden Fleece...
At the time of the fall of the House of Burgundy under Louis XI (death of Charles the Bold), the direction of the Order of the Golden Fleece passed to the House of Austria...
